The Marianna 12 and under District 3 All-Stars, will be participating in the Dixie Youth "O" Zone State tournament in Lakeland, Florida. Opening ceremonies will be held on July 4th and games July 5th -10th. The boys have been raising funds to help cover the cost for the tournament. Fund raisers include a Spaghetti Dinner at Madison’s Restaurant on Monday June 30th from 4:30pm-7:00pm CDT, with tickets selling for $7. The meal includes spaghetti, salad, breadstick, and drink. The team is also selling chances to win a $250 gas card from Arrowhead RV Sales with tickets selling for $5. Anyone wishing to make a contribution to the team or purchase tickets can go by any of the following businesses: Rotech Oxygen & Medical Equipment, James & Sikes Funeral Home, Hopkins Pontiac-GMC, or Appraisal Services of NW Florida, all located in Marianna.
The All-Star team has been practicing very hard for several weeks. The team consists of Madison Harrell, Trenton Nobles, Reid Long, Triston Tharpe, Nic Helms, Heath Roberts, Grey Gilmore, Tyler Colson, Ryan Hewett, Kody Bryan, Jonathan Sikes and Andrew Shouse.
