Sneads Wallops Wildcats

ALTHA - The Sneads Lady Pirates softball squad scored early and often as they walloped the Lady Wildcats of Altha 22-0 on Tuesday night. Four Lady Pirates scored in the first inning as Bridget Dawson led off with a triple. Dawson and Samantha Culpepper, Kayla Kelly and Tiffany Guerra all scored in Snead’s first at bat. The Lady Pirates racked up four more runs in the second inning to take an 8-0 lead. In the third inning Karissa Childs came up with a single and Meagan Smith then stroked a 2 RBI triple. Culpepper followed with an RBI single to score Smith. Kali Pringle got into the hit parade with a RBI triple and then scored on a past ball. When the third inning was over the Lady Pirate’s lead had swelled to 13-0. The fourth inning was more of the same as Kayla Rabon was walked and then later scored on a sacrifice fly by Smith. Culpepper then hit a 2 RBI single to score Childs and Iris Walden. Pringle then recorded another RBI triple and the Sneads lead increased to 19-0. The Lady Pirates tacked on three more runs in the fifth inning to make the final 22-0. With the district win over Altha Sneads improved to 10-10 on the season.
