Jackson County varsity boys basketball programs begin their respective district tournaments this week. In Class 3A the Marianna Bulldogs will participate in the District Two tournament in Chipley. The Bulldogs will enter as the number one seed with an 18-7 record. They will play in the Championship game on Saturday night at 7 pm against Friday night’s winner between Chipley and Holmes County.
In Class 2A action the Sneads Pirates will host the District Two tournament. Blountstown will enter as the #1 seed and will take on Bozeman on Friday night. Sneads and Cottondale will square off against each other at 7:30 pm. The two Friday night winners will advance to Saturday night’s championship game at 7 pm.
District Two for Class 1A will be hosted by the Malone Tigers. They will take on Poplar Springs at 7:30 pm Friday night. The Graceville Tigers will hit the floor at 6 pm and battle Bethlehem. The winners of these two games will meet again on Saturday night at 7pm for the Championship.
