It’s playoff time for high school girls basketball and in a rare occurrence, all of the Jackson County girl’s varsity teams will participate in their respective district tournaments without having to leave the county.
In class 3A Marianna will host the District Two tournament. The Lady Bulldogs enter the tournament with a 15-7 record and the #2 seed. They will take on Holmes County on Friday night at 7 pm. The winner of that contest will square off against the #1 seed Chipley in the Championship game on Saturday night at 7 pm
In Class 2A Cottondale will host the District Two tournament. Cottondale will be the number one seed and they will play on Friday against the winner of Tuesday night’s contest between Altha and Panama City Bozeman. Sneads will also participate in the tournament and as the #2 seed they will take on Blountstown. The championship game is slated for Saturday night at 7:00 pm
In Class 1A Graceville will host the District Two tournament. The Lady Tigers will be the #1 seed and will play Poplar Springs on Thursday. Malone and Bethlehem will also be in action on Thursday night with the championship game taking place on Saturday at 7:00 pm.
