BCF’s “Voice of the Tigers” and “Coach’s Corner” Returns

As the Graceville community geared up for another year of high school football, The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) low power (LP) Radio Station, WFBU, prepared for another exciting year broadcasting the games and interviewing the coach. Established in 2003, WFBU began its seventh year of operation with a schedule that provides a variety of listening options for all age groups.

Continuing the “Voice of the Tigers” broadcast this year from the Graceville press box on Friday nights is BCF graduate Bob Bloomer. There is no doubt that Bloomer loves football as he provides a “play by play” commentary of what is happening on the field to WFBU listeners. Bloomer stated that it was God who inspired him with the idea of broadcasting the high school football games on the college radio station, “It was a way of bringing a great community and a great college together.”

Also returning to the WFBU program lineup this year is the popular “Coach’s Corner” featuring BCF Professor David Coggins and Graceville High School Head Football Coach Todd Wertenberger. The “Coach’s Corner” has become one of WFBU’s listener favorites on Friday mornings at 7:00 a.m. as Coggins and Coach Wert discuss “game day” strategies each week.

Audiences are able to listen to the coach and to the game on WFBU 94.7 from anywhere in the world via the web feed at wfbu.com. Listen live to veteran announcers on the “Coach’s Corner” and “Voice of the Tigers” to stay up-to-date on the Graceville Tigers’ progress throughout the season.
