Three former Marianna Bulldog football linemen signed letters of intent to play at the college level last Friday before family and friends at the Bulldog Gymnasium. Kenneth Gray and Dylan Griffin signed with Culver-Stockton College while Brian Myrick signed with Mesabi Range Community College.
Gray is the son of Carolyn and Kenneth Gray Sr.. He is the grandson of Shirley Herndon and Henry Holmes and the late Essie and Eifie Baldwin. Griffin is the son of Angel and Bryan Griffin. He is the grandson of Ann and Carey Strickland, Percy and Marcelene Jones, Harold Barlow and the late L.C. Griffin. Culver-Stockton College is a NAIA Division 1 School located in Canton, Missouri. Their school mascot is the Wildcats and they are a member of the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
Myrick is the son of Linda and Shepard Myrick. He is the grandson of Everlee Sinclair, Arlener Myrick and the late Shepard Myrick Sr.. Mesabi Range Community and Technical College is located in Virginia Minnesota. They are known as The Norse and are a member of the Minnesota Community College Conference.
Bulldog Head Coach Rob Armstrong spoke well of the young men. "We are very proud of the accomplishments of these three young men at Marianna High School and are excited about them moving to the next level. This is just the beginning for them and they have a lot of hard work ahead of them," Armstrong told the crowd.
