Heads-Up Showdown @ Panama Beach Raceway!

This Saturday, Panama Beach Raceway presents the first Heads-Up Showdown of 2010. All cars must be stock in appearance and run on a 5.70 index.  All heads-up racing will also be run with a pro-tree and use 10.5 tires.

For those new to heads-up racing, a 10.5 racing tire is relatively narrow for cars this quick. Even so, many cars will launch their front wheels at the line and carry them considerable distances down the strip. Needless to say, it requires considerable car control. Some of these cars also utilize nitrous or turbo’s.

So if ultra-fast, side-by-side, wheel standing action is your cup of tea, then this weekend’s Heads-Up Showdown is just what the doctor ordered!

Gates open @ 1pm - racing gets underway @ 2pm. Adults are only $15.00 - Kids 10 & under are free. Head-Up fees are $50.00, bracket divisions are $40, and test & tune are $20.00.

Then on Sunday, February 21, Campers Inn will present grudge racing, plus open test & tune sessions.

As always, everyone is welcome to join in the fun. The gates will open @ high noon - and the track goes hot @ 1pm. Adults are $10.00 - and kids 10 and under are free. All on-track grudge and test & tune fees will be $20.00.

Free spectator parking is always provided by the great folks at the Press Print Graphics.

Panama Beach Raceway is an ultra-quick 1/8 mile drag-strip located 2 miles north of Fountain, Florida. From Panama City take Highway 231 north to Highway 167. Turn east at County Road 274 and then south onto Apache Road (just follow the signs).

A detailed map is available at PanamaBeachRaceway.com and the Print Shop 24/7 Dragracin’ Hotline is 850-762-8961.
