The Chipola Indians baseball squad got a much needed Panhandle Conference win this past Monday with a 10-0 drumming of Northwest Florida State College in six innings. The Indians got the long ball going as they stroked four home runs on the day with two coming off the bat of Eric Sauls. Andy Fermin and Aaron Etchison also went deep in the win for the Indians.
The game was scoreless through three and a half innings but in the bottom of the fourth the Indians went on the war path. They plated three runs in that inning, followed by four more runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth. Chipola pounded out 11 hits on the day, led by Fermin who was 2-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Sauls followed close behind as he was 2-3 with five RBI and two runs scored.
