Cameron Dozier of Graceville High and Jenna Griffin of Holmes County High are the new champions of Chipola College’s Sixth Annual High School Three-Point Shootout.
Dozier made 8 of 15 shots in the men’s finals. Four other men’s players made it to the finals of the annual competition: Clayton Ward of Bethlehem, Michael McArthur of Malone, Jonathan Cardenas of Holmes County and John Wayne Forehand of Poplar Springs.
Jenna Griffin connected on seven shots in the finals to take the championship in the women’s division. Tasha Hall of Malone and Janae Godwin of Marianna also made it to the final round.
All boys and girls high school teams from the Chipola district were invited to send their best three-point shooters to the competition.
The winners will have their names engraved on a trophy in the Milton H. Johnson Health Center and on a traveling championship trophy which will be housed in their respective school’s trophy cases during the coming year.
