The Graceville Lady Tigers and Cottondale Lady Hornets softball squads endured the cold weather on Monday night and Graceville came away with a 5-2 victory. Graceville jumped out to an early 3-0 lead as Stacy Sadler, Liza Johnson and Shaquel Johnson all scored for the Lady Tigers. Andi Pierce scored in the 4th inning and Liza Johnson scored in the 5th inning to make it a 5-0 game. Cottondale battled back in the bottom of the 5th as Selentia Pittman and Chelsea Caudill crossed home plate during the inning. Cottondale kept battling and managed to get runners to second and third base in the bottom of the 7th inning. But Meagan Sanders got a Lady Hornet to strike out and the final out came on a line drive to third base. Sanders was the winning pitcher for Graceville, striking out 5 Lady Hornets.
