Announcing the 9th Annual Jackson County Health & Safety Expo

Community Rallies Resources to Offer Health Information and Free Screenings

The Jackson County Health & Safety Expo is back for its 9th year on Saturday, March 20th at the Chipola College Public Health Center, Marianna. This is a tobacco-free event to learn more about how to take great care of your health.

SPARKY the Fire Dog will be back this year. Volunteer organizers from all walks of the health and community service sectors have joined together to offer free health screenings, health information, entertainment and fun for the whole family.

Expo hours are 9am-1pm. Health information booths and booths showcasing 1st Response Agencies are open from 9am-12noon. A wide variety of free health screenings are offered between 9am-1pm:



● Vision

● Blood sugar

● Cholesterol

● Bone density



This is the event to obtain Child ID kits, tour First Response vehicles, and visit Sparky the Fire Dog.

Entertainment in the form of games and puppet shows are ongoing throughout the Expo. Then at noon a crowd-awing presentation will be made by the Freestyle Connection BMX Stunt Team.

Expo food is available for purchase from numerous community vendors with their booths opening at 10am.
