The Marianna Bulldogs playoff are hopes not dead yet. This Friday night the Chipley Tigers take on Pensacola Catholic in Pensacola. If Pensacola Catholic beats Chipley the Bulldogs playoff hopes are still alive. Marianna would then be in a 3 way tie for the runner up spot in the district with Chipley and Walton Co. The three teams would meet for a tie breaker on Monday November 9th. The team’s overall records as of November 9th would determine the seeding and location for the tiebreaker. Both Marianna and Chipley would have a 4-5 record however since Chipley beat Marianna they would be the #1 seed and would host the tiebreaker. Marianna and Walton would play each other in the first round of the tiebreaker. They would play for one quarter and the winner of that quarter would then play Chipley for one quarter. If either quarter should end in a tie, the squads would then use the Kansas tie breaker that is used in regular season games that end in a tie.
If Chipley should win that game Marianna would be eliminated from the playoffs as Chipley would be the district champs and the Crusaders would be the runner up.
