CHIPOLA’S VAN HOOK NAMED FCCAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Chipola College’s Ariell van Hook is this week’s

FCCAA Softball Player of the Week.

van Hook, a first-year player from Whittier, Calif., has batted .485 (16-of-33) with two home runs and 12 RBIs over the Indians’ opening 12 games. During Chipola’s season-opening swing through the Southwest, she enjoyed back-to-back 3-for-3, one home run and four-RBI games against Central Arizona and Arizona Western.

van Hook later had a two-hit game against North Idaho and collected three hits and three RBIs in a doubleheader against Lurleen B. Wallace. During the 12 games, van Hook also scored five runs and was walked six times.
