The Chipola Baseball squad will play host this weekend to the Conyers Hardwood Flooring Classic. Six teams, including three in the top 15 in the nation, will take part in the three day event that will begin on Friday and conclude on Sunday. Chipola is currently ranked #3 in the nation while St. Petersburg is #12 and Miami Dade is #15. The other three schools taking part in this event are Middle Georgia, Grand Rapids and Kankakee. The Indians enter this weekend’s classic with a record of 9-6 after a rough road trip out west. Chipola took part in the Southern Nevada Classic and went 1-3 in the event. All three loses came to the #1 team in the nation, the College of Southern Nevada. Their lone win came in a ten inning 8-7 win over Cypress College out of California. Sunday, February 28th
11:00 a.m. St. Petersburg vs. Kankakee
2:00 p.m. Chipola vs. Kankakee
