2009 Graceville Lady Tigers Varsity Profile

District: Class 2A District Two – Graceville, Blountstown, Bozeman, Cottondale, Holmes County, Sneads, South Walton and Vernon. District Tournament to be played at Blountstown High School on 10/26-30, 2009.
2009 Outlook: The Lady Tigers are in just their second year of having a volleyball program after a 16 year absence of the program at Graceville. Prior to last year, the last time Graceville had a varsity volleyball program was in 1982. Bob Bloomer enters his second season as the Head Coach and has seven players returning from last year’s squad. After a 16 year layoff from having a volleyball program, Bloomer knows that his squad is still in the rebuilding mode. Add to that challenge the fact that the Lady Tigers have the scheduling challenge of having to play their first six matches on the road. But they’ll close out the regular season and head into district tournament play with four straight home contests. So hopefully they can build some momentum and begin peaking at the right time of the season.
