Another “Hole In One” at Indian Springs

This one had a “bittersweet” taste.

By Sid Riley

During last Friday’s golf tournament at Indian Springs Golf Course which was a fund raising event for the Hospital Foundation, another hole in one was scored. This makes the third “Ace” in the past three weeks, after the passage of almost a full year at the course with none of these special moments in a golfer’s life.

This time it was Marianna native, Don Hughes, President of Credit Bureau of
Marianna, at the par three thirteenth hole. How much did he win, since it was scored in tournament play? Well, there were prizes galore for special feats during the tournament. If Don’s hole in one was scored on the 18th hole, he would have won $5,000. If it had been on hole #8, or #5, he would have won prizes worth several hundred dollars. There was only one par three hole in the event where no prizes were offered…..you guessed it! That was hole # 13!!

Congratulations for your good luck, Don….(I guess).
