The Chipola College Cross Country team finished fifth in a meet at LaGrange College on Sept. 26.
A total of 12 colleges entered the meet with nine eligible for scoring. The venue was primarily trails around West Point Lake.
Rebecca Honeycutt Cappeleman was the top runner for the Lady Indians, finishing 20th out of 60 runners with a time of 29:58 in the 6K race. All five Lady Indians improved their mile split times by at least 30 seconds.
Chipola team members are Rebecca Honeycutt Cappelman, Sylvianna Garrett, MacKenzie Willis, Maggie Mathis and Kaylee Hatcher. Rance Massengill coaches the team.
