Representative Marti Coley (R-Marianna) issued the following statement regarding the announcement that Southwest Airlines will begin service to the new Northwest Florida International Airport starting in May 2010:
“The news that Southwest Airlines has chosen to expand their national presence by flying out of the Northwest Florida International Airport is great news for Panama City and the entire Panhandle. Consumers across our area can now look forward to the increased options and lower-priced flights that Southwest offers. Today’s announcement is one more sign that the new airport will boost the economy of Northwest Florida.”
