The high school volleyball season shifts into high gear this coming week as all four of the county’s varsity volleyball programs will begin their respective district tournaments. Three of the county’s teams will be participating in the same district tournament. Sneads, Cottondale and Graceville will travel to Blountstown for the Class 2A District 2 tournament. Sneads has to be considered the front runner going into the tournament as they are currently 21-3 on the season and finished regular season district play with a perfect 14-0 record. In addition to the Jackson County schools, Blountstown, Bozeman, Holmes County, South Walton and Vernon will compete.
Marianna will travel to Panama City to participate in the Class 3A District 1 tournament being hosted by Bay High School. Other teams participating include Arnold, Pensacola Catholic, Walton and Chipley.
